Congratulations Rebecca!
Congratulations to Rebecca Smith on winning the 2018 Robert Rabson Award from the American society of plant biologists for her work on the cell biology and biochemistry of lignin deposition during plant secondary cell wall formation. Her work on lignification in the Samuels lab were published in 2013 and 2017.
Rebecca earned her PhD in the Samuels lab in 2014 and has since moved on to John Ralph's lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
