Lacey, Mathias, and Heather will be attending the Canadian Society of Plant Physiologists and American Society of Plant Biologists joint annual meeting, Plant Biology 2010, in Montréal, Québec from July 31st to August 4th.
Lacey will speak in the Martin Gibbs medal winner symposium: Building extracellular polymers; lignin, cell walls, cutin and suberin, and polysaccharides. Her talk is entitled “The elusive export of extracellular polymer components.” and will occur on Saturday, July 31st at 3:45 pm.
Heather has been awarded a CSPP Duff Travel Award to attend the conference, and she will present a poster entitled “Cuticular lipid export in Arabidopsis thaliana requires dimer combinations of ABCG11 and ABCG12.” (P03050). Mathias will also present a poster, entitled “Elucidating the roles of ABC transporters in Xylem specification and maturation” (P08079).
Update: Heather has been awarded the CSPP Presidents’ Award for best graduate student poster presentaion.
